From Newhaven Town Station to Newhaven Museum
Before you travel to the museum, please check our opening times on the Visit Us page, as we are not open every day.
There are a number of ways to get to Newhaven Museum from the station.
One option is to take the 12A bus from the station bus stop.
As you come out of the station, turn left and cross over the railway track (if you are arriving via Lewes). Passing the station, you will see the bus stop on the left, set back off the road. This is Newhaven Station bus stop. You want to take the 12A, towards Seaford, and get off at Paradise Park (2 stops). Here is a link to the bus timetable.
Another option is to walk. It will take around 20 minutes. The video below shows the route.
Directions
- As you come out of the station, turn right.
- Cross over Railway Road, then cross over the entrance to The Range.
- Now turn left and cross over the road (Railway Approach) and walk under the flyover. You are now in New Road.
- Continue along New Road until you reach Avis Way.
- Turn right into Avis Way and follow the road along for about 8 minutes. The road then takes a left turn.
- Follow the road round and continue along Avis Way until you reach Tates Garage.
- Turn left at Tates Garage and walk a short distance until you come to the entrance of Paradise Park.
- Newhaven Museum is at the far end of Paradise Park. There is a U-Boat gun outside the museum.
Enjoy your visit!
